Privacy

The short version: what you ask AI stays on your phone, anything shared is anonymous and opt-in, and this website keeps only the email you give it.

The Unicorn app

Unicorn works without an account. A random ID created on your phone is used only to keep the free AI fair for everyone; it isn't linked to your name, email or phone number.

  • Saved prompts stay on your phone, are never uploaded and are left out of backups. You can delete them all in the You tab.
  • Text you send to Unicorn's AI tools is used to write the answer and is not stored or logged.
  • Anonymous trends are off until you turn them on. When on, short daily summaries (topics, brands, kinds of help and short questions without names, numbers, links or emails) are sent with your approximate state, and a trend is shown only once 25 different people share it. Turn it off any time.
  • Location is used only if you turn on your neighborhood for hunches: your area's name and a rough location are sent to pick them, and aren't stored with anything that identifies you.
  • Notifications are read only if you allow /reply to use them, and only the last few messages from messaging and email apps are kept, in memory.

This website

  • Early access sign-ups. If you join the list, we keep your email, the phone you said you use and your approximate country, only to send you an invite. Email us to be removed. To stop spam, a one-way code made from your IP address, which changes every day, is kept for up to 30 days.
  • Hunches on the home page are picked using the approximate area of your internet connection. Your IP address and area are not stored.
  • No tracking. This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or ads. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts.

Selling data

We don't sell personal information. Unicorn may share insights built only from the anonymous, aggregated trends described above, which can't be traced back to any one person.

Children

Unicorn isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
